The authors continue their study of finite Hopf algebras and their Frobenius extension properties [part I, Beitr. Algebra Geom. 42, No. 2, 359-384 (2001; Zbl 1001.16024)]. After a nice review of known results on the fact that finite Hopf algebras over a commutative ring are \(P\)-Frobenius, where \(P\) is an element of the Picard group of the base ring (results partly unpublished, originally contained in lecture notes of the reviewer), they turn to proving Radford's formula for \(S^4\) with techniques used in the theory of \(P\)-Frobenius extensions. They also study from this point of view separable and strongly separable Hopf algebras. Finally they show how to trivialize the Picard group element \(P\) by embedding the Hopf algebra into the Drinfeld double or by a suitable base ring extension. A small annotation to the paper is appropriate. In line 2 of the introduction the authors point out that the probably first interesting study of Hopf algebras as Frobenius algebras (in this case restricted universal enveloping algebras of Lie algebras) was performed by A. Berkson. Since the authors refer to A. Berkson as ``he'' we would like to point out that her full name is Astrid Berkson.
