Equations of magneto-hydrodynamics are considered in which the conductivity and, to a lesser extent, the magnetic permeability are allowed to vary discontinuously, due to the motion of fluids and solids contained in adjoining regions of space. Weak solutions are obtained which are regular for almost all times, and when the solutions are sufficiently small in a special sense they become strong for all times.
