As it is noted in the paper, a good ride quality region (GRQR) of the aircraft is a region bounded by two arcs and two horizontal lines in the left-half complex plane. However, it is a non-\(\Omega\)-transformable region, and that is why the generalized Lyapunov theory is not valid here. So the Rayleigh principle is developed in the paper for the analysis of robust pole clustering in this specific GRQR. The case of structured uncertainties is considered.
