A classical result of \textit{R. G. Casten} and \textit{Ch. J. Holland} [ibid. 27, 266--273 (1978; Zbl 0338.35055)] or Matano states that equilibrium states for semilinear parabolic equations under no-flux conditions on the boundary must be constant, provided the spatial domain is convex. This result has been extended to cooperative parabolic systems by \textit{K. Kishimoto} and \textit{H. F. Weinberger} [ibid. 58, 15--21 (1985; Zbl 0599.35080)]. In the paper under review the authors prove an analogous result for parabolic systems of \(m\) equations, whose solution vectors lie on the unit sphere \(S^{m-1}\). The title of the paper is obviously mixed up and was later corrected (the last four words were superfluous). The reviewer has worked on quasilinear equations, see [\textit{B. Kawohl}, Instability criteria for solutions of second-order elliptic quasilinear differential equations, in P. Marcellini (ed.) et al., Partial differential equations and applications.
