A reversible Markov process as a chemical polymer reaction of two types of monomers is defined, which generalizes a process given by the first author [J. Stat. Phys. 80, 389-404 (1995)]. By analyzing the partition function of the process there are obtained three different distributions of the average molecular weight, depending on the value of strength of the fragmentation reaction, and it is proved that a gelation of the process will occur in the thermodynamic limit.
