An algebra of meromorphic corner symbols (Q1874136)

The paper is aimed at studying meromorphic families of operators taking values in a block matrix calculus of parameter dependent operators on a manifold with edges. In this context a manifold with edges is a manifold which, near the singularities, is modelled by \(\mathbb{R}_+\times X\times \Omega\), with \(X\) a \(C^{\infty}\) manifold and \( \Omega \) an open set in \(\mathbb{R}^q\). The authors construct an algebra of so called corner symbols and show that it is closed under taking inverses of elements satisfying a parameter dependent ellipticity condition. Among the examples for corner symbols are resolvents of elliptic differential operators on manifold with edges. The study of meromorphic corner symbols arises in solving elliptic equations on manifolds with corner singularities i.e. manifolds which, near the singularities, are modelled by a cone whose base is a manifold with edges.
