\(L_m\) extremal polynomials associated with generalized Jacobi weights (Q1879127)

The paper contains interesting and new estimations of the Christoffel type functions for extremal polynomials associated with Jacobi weights. The asymptotic behaviour of the zeros of extremal polynomials is studied. Next the Cotes numbers of the corresponding Turán quadrature formula are given. Section 1 contains an introduction and the presentation of main results of the paper (Theorem 1, Theorem 2, Theorem 3 and Theorem 4). Section 2 contains auxilliarry results necessary for establishing the theorems. In Section 3 the complete proofs of theorems are presented.
