Triangles in squares (Q1879460)

The authors determine the minimal square circumscribing a given triangle (and, therefore, the maximal triangle inscribed in a given square). It turns out that the solution depends on a classification of all triangles based on the largest side and its two adjacent angles. There result four classes for which explicit formulas are given.
