This paper introduces a highly specialized class of multivalent functions. A function \(f(z)\) is defined to be in the class \(P^*_p(\alpha,\beta, \xi,N)\) if \(f(z)\) is analytic and \(p\)-valent in the unit disk \(U\), is of the form \(f(z) = z^p - \sum_{k=p+1}^\infty a_k z^k\) where all \(a_k \geq 0\), and \[ | (D^Nf(z))'z^{1-p} - p^{N+1}| < \beta| 2\xi((D^Nf(z))'z^{1-p} - \alpha) - ((D^Nf(z))'z^{1-p} - p^{N+1})| \] for all \(z \in U\). Here, the operator \(D\) is defined by \(Df(z) = zf'(z)\) and \(D^{n+1}f(z) = D(D^nf(z))\). With proper choice of parameters this class includes many previously considered classes. The authors prove that the given condition is equivalent to the condition \[ \sum_{n=1}^\infty (n+p)^{N+1}(1 + (2\xi - 1) \beta) a_{n+p} \leq 2\beta\xi(p^{N+1} - \alpha). \] With the help of this, they prove a number of results concerning coefficient bounds, radius of convexity, and distortion theorems. They also show the class is closed under convex linear combinations and the simple integral transform, \((c+p)z^{-c}\int_0^z t^{c-1}f(t) \,dt\) where \(c\) is real with \(c > -p\).
