Let \((M,g)\) be a Riemannian manifold. One says that \((M,g)\) has quasi-positive curvature if the sectional curvature of \((M,g)\) is non-negative and if the sectional curvature is positive at least one point. The author shows: Theorem: The following manifolds admit metrics with quasi-positive curvature: (1) The unit tangent bundles \(S(\mathbb{C} P^n)\), \(S(\mathbb{H} P^n)\), and \(S(\mathbb{O} P^2)\). (2) The homogeneous space \(M=U(n+1)/\{\text{diag}(z^k,z^l,A)\}\) where \(z\in U(1)\) and \(A\in U(n-1)\) and \(n\geq 2\). (3) The homogeneous space \(Sp(n+1)/\{\text{diag}(z,1,A)\}\) where \(z\in Sp(1)\), \(A\in Sp(n-1)\), and \(n\geq 2\). All the examples are homogeneous bundles over homogeneous spaces and Lie-theoretic methods play a crucial role in the construction.
