It is well known that the motion of Pluto undergoes three resonances: 1. The 3:2 exterior mean motion resonance with Neptune; 2. Pluto's perihelion argument \(\omega\) librates around \(90^{\circ}\). The oscillation periods of inclination \(i\) and eccentricity \(e\) are similar to that of \(\omega\) (Kozai resonance); 3. The difference between the longitudes of ascending nodes of Pluto and Neptune \(\Omega - \Omega_N\) is in, or near resonance with the libration of \(\omega\). The combined action of these three resonances ensures that Pluto and Neptune do not encounter each other. The authors examine the resonance zones in which the three resonances coexist. They explore the resonance zones numerically in the mirror region with respect to the invariant plane, and predict the discovery of new Plutinos with large masses.
