Annular liquid jets can form enclosed volumes where e.g. hazardous wastes may be burned. Thus the interaction between the jet and the gases enclosed by it comes into play. The paper studies the situation when equilibrium conditions at the interfaces can be assumed and uses the Sievert's solubility law to determine the gas concentration on the interfaces.
