The main result is that for each integer \(n\) such that \[ \textstyle{{1\over 2}} (q^2+ 1)+ 3\leq n\leq (5q^2+ 4q+ 7)/8 \] there is a maximal partial spread of size \(n\) in \(\text{PG}(3, q)\), \(q+ 1\equiv 8\) or 16 \((\text{mod } 24)\). [For part I see ibid. 120, No. 1-3, 75-91 (1993; Zbl 0784.51007)].
