This is a continuation of the study of Phragmén-Lindelöf conditions \((P-L)\) on algebraic varieties by the authors in earlier work [e.g.: Ann. Inst. Fourier 40, No. 3, 619-655 (1990; Zbl 0717.46032) and Lect. Note Pure Appl. Math. 150, 357-389 (1993; Zbl 0806.46041)]. It concerns one aspect of extremal plurisubharmonic functions of linear growth on (homogeneous) algebraic varieties in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) and does not go into the important applications to PDE with constant coefficients. (1) A ``radial \(P-L\) condition'' is defined and studied for an algebraic variety \(V\) in \(\mathbb{C}^n\). (2) A ``dimension condition'' bearing upon the size of the set \(V \cap R^n\) is introduced. It is shown that, for homogeneous \(V\), (1) and (2) are equivalent. Let \(V_h\) denote the homogeneous variety tangent to \(V\) at infinity. The main result then reads: For a pure dimensional \(V\), the following conditions are equivalent (i) \(V\) satisfies (1), (ii) \(V_h\) satisfies (1), (iii) \(V_h\) satisfies (2).
