A continuation of the authors previous paper in Calc. Var. Partial Differ. Equ. 2, No. 4, 405-425 (1994; Zbl 0830.49025). The author shows that the bridge principle holds for unstable surfaces of nullity 0 and for singular area minimizing surfaces and he studies related questions on minimal surfaces.
