Ser. 133(175), No. 1(5), 86-102 (1987; Zbl 0656.30031)], direct and inverse theorems concerning the best uniform rational approximations in the Hardy-Sobolev spaces are extended from the unit disk to the half-plane, half-line, and a segment. The extensions are not routine and require developing some additional techniques.
