For a power series \(f\) and for nonnegative integers \(m_0, m_1, \dots, m_k, L\), the Padé-Hermite polynomials \(\{Q_0, Q_1, \dots, Q_k, P\}\) for the system \(\{f, f', \dots, f^{(k)}\}\) are defined by the relations \(\deg Q_j\leq m_j\) \((j=0, \dots, k)\), \(\deg P\leq L\) and \((*)\) \((\sum^k_{j=0} f^{(j)} Q_j -P) (z)= O(z^{M+ L+1})\), with \(M= k+\sum^k_{j=0} m_j\). But \((*)\) can be considered as a differential equation. Its solution (if exists) matching the values of \(f^{(j)} (z)\) at \(z=0\) for \(j=0, \dots, k\), is called Padé-Hermite differential approximation of \(f\). Maximal domains of convergence in measure \(m_1\) for rows (all \(m_j\) fixed, \(L\to \infty\)) of such approximants are studied. The main result of the paper states that they cannot converge outside the largest disk \(\{|z|< R\}\) where \(f\) is meromorphic with no more than \(N\) poles, with \(N\) explicitly to \(M\).
