The paper discusses alternative integral representations for the fundamental solution of the axially symmetric Helmholtz equation in 3D, which are amenable to evaluation by contour deformation methods, leading to integrands with rapid and non-oscillatory exponential decay. The modified integral representations are particularly well-suited to those cases, where the initial integrals suffer from rapid oscillation, and they form a basis for efficient and accurate numerical computations for arbitrary source and observation point locations. The methods may be generalized to related differential operators.
