The purpose of this paper is to give a zeta function attached to locally symmetric spaces of \(\text{rank} >1\) with a product expansion, which is a so-called Euler product. Let \(X\) be a locally symmetric space, \(\Gamma\) the fundamental group of \(X\), and \(\phi\) a flat bundle over \(X\). A zeta function \(Z_\phi(s)\) attached to \(X\) is defined as a meromorphic function in \(s\) with a functional equation. The fundamental group \(\Gamma\) of the locally symmetric space \(X\) is called nice if, for every \(\gamma\in \Gamma\), there is no torsion eigenvalue to the adjoint \(Ad(\gamma)\). In the case that \(\Gamma\) is nice, \(Z_\phi(s)\) has a Euler product. In this paper, the author gives a similar zeta function, which has a product expansion. We can even remove the condition on the fundamental group. The only remaining condition is that the dimension of the space is odd.
