The author introduces generalized structurable algebras as nonassociative algebras \(A\) where there is a nontrivial bilinear map from \(A\times A\) to the derivation algebra of \(A\), and two identities are satisfied. He then describes some constructions. Reviewer's remark: The paper seems to have been written with little care. For instance, it is stated that associative algebras are generalized structurable, with derivations \(D(x, y)= [L(x), L(y)]+ [L(x), R(y)]+ [R(x), R(y)]\), and no indication is given that the middle term is always zero. (Incidentally, \(D(x, y)\) is the commutator of the derivations \(L(x)-R(x)\) and \(L(y)-R(y)\).) Also, the author speaks of the ``Tit's (sic!) construction'', which might give a false impression to the non-expert reader.
