Global existence for the full von Kármán system (Q1921392)

A global existence result for the full system of dynamic von Kármán equations with nonlinear boundary conditions are considered. It is suggested that a part of the boundary of the thin elastic plate is fixed and on the other part of the boundary an appropriate feedback law for the bending moment, twisting moment and the transverse shear force is given. The obtained result includes the homogeneous Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions. The presented method is based on application of some fixed-point methods in conjunction with a priori bounds for the von Kármán equation. The proof of existence of finite energy solution and uniqueness of the strong solution are given with various boundary conditions.
