The author presents a concept of expanding operators between two Hilbert spaces with respect to biorthonormal systems. In contrary to orthonormal systems, (complete) biorthogonal systems are sometimes explicitly available and it is shown how the coefficients can be calculated by interpolatory methods. The concept is applied to Radon's transform and its inverse, where the biorthonormal systems are defined by polynomials of Appell and Hermite. In a natural way, a biorthonormal expansion is also replacing the usual singular value decomposition.
