Adaptation and robustness in control systems (Q1921497)

Methods of designing adaptive and robust controllers for linear dynamic systems in the presence of uncertainty are discussed. A criterion which determines the limits of goal-oriented transition from an adaptive control system to a robust control one is proposed on the basis of guaranteed estimates obtained when solving the parameter identification problem. Special attention is paid to the robust control design which guarantees robust stability.
