Binomial \(\mathcal D\)-modules are a generalization of classical Horn hypergeometric systems, introduced by \textit{A. Dickenstein} et al. [Duke Math. J. 151, No. 3, 385--429 (2010; Zbl 1205.13031)] and problems related to the holonomicity of this kind of systems are essential in the study of these objects. The authors give in this paper an important contribution to this subject, focusing on the study of the irregularity of binomial \(\mathcal D\)-modules. In particular, they are able to improve the characterization of regular holonomicity of a binomial \(\mathcal D\)-module \(M_A(I, \beta)\) presented in [loc. cit.]. Moreover, the authors present a description of the slopes of \(M_A(I, \beta)\) along coordinate subspaces in terms of known slopes of some related hypergeometric \(\mathcal D\)-modules depending on \(\beta\). For a generic parameter \(\beta\), they also compute the dimension of the generic stalk of the irregularity of binomial \(\mathcal D\)-modules and finish the paper with ``a procedure to compute Gevrey solutions of binomial \(\mathcal D\)-modules by using known results in the hypergeometric case''. These interesting results are presented in a well written article, carefully organized and containing illuminating examples.
