The primary purpose of the study is to develop the theory of quantum B-splines using the two basic tools: the quantum derivative and the quantum blossom. The authors introduce basic definitions, formulas and explicit notations for \(q\)-derivatives, \(q\)-divided differences, and \(q\)-Bernstein basis functions. They investigate the homogeneous \(q\)-blossom and study relationships between the homogeneous \(q\)-blossom, \(q\)-derivatives, and divided differences. They introduce the local \(q\)-de Boor algorithm to derive \(q\)-B-spline curves. They provide interesting examples and study the geometric properties of these curves. The paper contains an extensive list of literature and a remarkable introduction to the histroy of the problem and recent developments in the filed B-spline.
