The present paper is concerned with a study of infinite divisibility in the context of so-called operator-valued convolutions. These are, broadly speaking, defined as operations on \(\Sigma_{B:D}\), where \(B\subset D\) is a unital inclusion of \(C^*\)-algebras, and \(\Sigma_{B:D}\) denotes the set of unital, positive, \(B\)-bimodule maps from \(B\langle X\rangle\) to \(D\) (with \(B\langle X\rangle\) being the unital *-algebra freely generated by \(B\) and a self-adjoint element \(X\)), satisfying in addition a stronger positivity property, similar to complete positivity. In the first part of the paper the authors show that every \(\mu \in \Sigma_{B:D}\) which satisfies a bound on the growth of moments arises via a GNS-type construction from a \(C^*\)-algebra \(A\) containing \(B\) and a self-adjoint element \(a\in A\), as the `distribution' of \(a\). Further, the operator-valued boolean, free and conditionally free convolutions are introduced, respectively, as operations on \(\Sigma_{B:D}\), \(\Sigma_{B:B}\) and \(\Sigma_{B:D}\times \Sigma_{B:B}\), and described in terms of the respective cumulants. This leads in each case to a characterisation of infinitely divisible objects (some of the characterisations have been known before). Finally, in the last part, the language of noncommutative functions à la \textit{J. L. Taylor} [Adv. Math. 9, 183--252 (1972; Zbl 0271.46041)] is exploited to propose the notions of operator-valued \(B\), \(R\) and \(R^c\)-transforms, which are in turn used to provide further characterisations of infinite divisibility.
