A collocation method for the numerical solution of a two-dimensional integral equation using a quadratic spline quasi-interpolant (Q1944747)

The authors first give the definition and the main properties of the spline quasi-interpolant and the bivariate quadratic spline quasi-interpolant. They define collocation methods based on bivariate quadratic spline quasi-interpolants and discuss the system of linear equations which needs to be solved to obtain the appropriate solution. Convergence of these methods and their iterated versions are discussed. A discrete version of the proposed method is also defined and a numerical validation is given.
