Let \((A,G,\alpha)\), where \(\alpha\) is an action of a finite group \(G\) on a complex Banach algebra \(A\), be a covariant system. \textit{A. Van Daele} [\(K\)-theory 6, No.~5, 465-485 (1992; Zbl 0811.46071)] introduced a \(K\)-theory-like group \(K(A,G,\alpha)\), proved its half-exactness and conjectured its Bott periodicity. In the paper under review this conjecture is proved and the standard six-term exact sequence for \(K(A,G,\alpha)\) is constructed.
