Let \(\chi\) be a faithful nonlinear irreducible character of a finite group \(G\) such that \(V(\chi)=\{\chi(1),0,\alpha_1,\dots,\alpha_n\}\), where \(\alpha_1,\dots,\alpha_n\) are algebraically conjugate. Set \(A_i=\{x\in G^\#\mid\chi(x)=\alpha_i\}\), \(|A_i|=\alpha_i\), \(R_\chi=\bigcup^n_{j=1}A_j\), \(i=1,\dots,n\). Then (i) \(a_1=\cdots=a_n=a\). (ii) \(A_1,\dots,A_n\) are \(G\)-classes. (iii) \(G\) is a monolith. (iv) \(\text{Irr}(G)\) has exactly \(n\) faithful characters, and they are algebraically conjugate. (v) \(R_\chi=F^\#\), where \(F\) is an elementary \(p\)-subgroup for some \(p\in\pi(G)\); \(n\) divides \(p-1\). (vi) \(G\) is transitive on subgroups of \(F\) of order \(p\). (vii) \(C_G(x)\in\text{Syl}_p(G)\) for \(x\in F^\#\). (viii) If \(\varphi\in\text{Irr}(\chi_F)\), then \(I_G(\varphi)\in\text{Syl}_p(G)\), where \(I_G(\varphi)\) is the inertia group of \(\varphi\). (ix) Every \(p'\)-element of \(G\) acts on \(F\) in an \(fpf\) manner. (x) \(\chi\) is monomial. (xi) If \(|F|=p^\lambda\), \(p^\nu=|G|_p\), \(p^\mu=\chi(1)\), then \(|G|=\tfrac 1n(p^\lambda-1)p^\nu\), \(\chi(1)=\tfrac 1n(p^\lambda-1)p^\mu\), \(\nu=\lambda+2\mu\). (xii) If \(H\leq G\) and \(|H|>\chi(1)\), then \(F\leq H\). (xiii) If \(p>2\) and \(|G |\) is even, then the set of involutions in \(G\) is a \(G\)-class of size \(|G|/\chi(1)=p^{\lambda+\mu}\); \(\chi=\overline\chi\); the Schur index \(\text{Ind}_\mathbb{R}(\chi)\) of \(\chi\) over \(\mathbb{R}\) is 1.
