This paper reviews mostly numerical results on the resonant dynamics in asteroid belt. The author studies the role of resonances in the transport of asteroids from the main belt to the inner and outer solar system. A comparison between the dynamics in the vicinity of the 2:1 resonance which creates the Hecuba gap, and the 3:2 resonance which is populated by the Hilda group is made with emphasis on the appearance of chaos due to short-period perturbations of Jupiter's orbit. The main conclusion of the review is that an explanation of the presence of asteroids in the 3:2 resonance is a more difficult problem than that of the indication of depletion mechanism for the 2:1 resonant zone.
