The Alekseevskii conjecture states that any connected homogeneous Einstein manifold of negative scalar curvature is diffeomorphic to a Euclidean space. The purpose of the author is to resolve this conjecture for an \(n\)-dimensional manifold such that \(n\le 10\), whenever the manifold is not invariant metric on the universal covers of \(\textsf{Sp}(1,1)/\Delta\textsf{U}(1)\), \(\textsf{Sp}(1,1)\), \(\textsf{Sp}(2,\mathbb R)\), \(\textsf{SL}_3(\mathbb R)\), \(\textsf{SL}_3(\mathbb R)\), \(\textsf{SU}(2,1)\), or \(\textsf{SL}_2(\mathbb C)\).
