On clusters of Brownian loops in \(d\) dimensions (Q1983074)

In this chapter, in a memorial volume for Vladas Sidoravicius, the author reviews and presents some results and conjectures about and around Brownian loop soups and Gaussian Free Fields, especially in higher dimensions. In dimension 2 there exists the whole SLE world which consists of a rich area of proven results and widely accepted conjectures, based on conformal arguments. In higher dimensions much less is known. The author employs the cable-graph coupling techniques of T. Lupu. In dimensions 3,4 and 5, different scenarios are conjecturally sketched, in dimension above 6 (the upper critical dimension for percolation) there are results confirming the percolation-like behaviour also for the loop soups.
