Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(k\) be a field or the integers. Let \(K\) be a simplicial \(G\)-complex and \(\mathcal{Z}_{K}\) denote the moment-angle complex associated to \(K\). This inherits a natural action of \(G\). In the first part of this work, the authors describe the cohomology \(H^{*}(\mathcal{Z}_{K};k)\) as a \(kG\)-algebra. The authors move to a generalization of the moment-angle complex to the notion of polyhedral products. This is associated to a topological pair \((X,A)\) and a \(G\) simplicial complex \(K\) as follows: given a subset \(I=\{i_{1},\ldots ,i_{l}\}\subset [m]\) consider the product \((X,A)^{I}=\{ (x_{1},\ldots, x_{m})\in \prod_{m}X\mid x_{j}\in A \text{ for } j\not\in I\}\), the polyhedral product \((X,A)^{K}\) is defined as \(\bigcup_{I\in K}(X,A)^{I}\). There is a similar definition using the smash product to get the polyhedral smash product. The authors describe the homology of a polyhedral product as \(kG\)-algebras in the following Theorem. Let \(K\) be a simplicial \(G\)-complex with \(m\)-vertices. Then there exists a \(kG\)-module isomorphism \[ \tilde{H}_{i}((X,A)^{K};k)\cong \bigoplus_{J\subseteq [m]}\tilde{H}_{i}((X,A)^{\wedge K_{J}};k)\cong \bigoplus_{J\in [m]/G}\mathrm{Ind}_{G_{J}}^{G}\tilde{H}_{i}((X,A)^{\wedge K};k). \] The authors also study stability phenomena for these polyhedral complexes.
