The Campana-Peternell conjecture states that any complex Fano manifold with nef tangent bundle is homogeneous. There are some partial results confirming this conjecture, which holds for manifolds of dimension less than or equal to five and for other particular manifolds, as complete intersections in a projective space (see the Introduction of the paper under review and references therein). The index \(i_X\) of a Fano manifold \(X\) is the maximal integer dividing its anticanonical bundle and the coindex is the difference \(\dim X+1-i_X\). The main result of the paper under review (see Theorem 1.2) is a complete classfication of the Fano manifolds of coindex three with nef tangent bundle, which finally are all homogeneous, so that Campana-Peternell conjecture is true for such manifolds. The proof of the result relies on the Mukai's classification of Fano manifolds of coindex three which, together with the known results on Campana-Peternell conjecture, splits the argument in two parts: first, on certain weighted complete intersections (see Section 3) where some intersection theory can be done to prove the non-nefness of the tangent bundle; second, on linear sections of the \(10\)-dimensional spinor variety \(S_4 \subset {\mathbb P}^{15}\) (see Section 4), where the non-nefness of the tangent bundle follows from the study of some rational curves on them.
