      Let \(\lambda_1,\lambda_2, \ldots , \lambda_n\) be real constants and \(F(x)\) be a given strongly convex function. Let \(f^i\) denote the \(i\)-th iterate of \(f\), for instance, \(f^2 (x) = f(f(x))\). The authors study the polynomial-like iterative functional equation \(\lambda_1 f(x) + \lambda_2 f^2(x) + \ldots + \lambda_n f^n(x) = F(x)\), \(x \in \mathbb R\), where \(f(x)\) is an unknown function. Sufficient conditions for the existence, uniqueness, and stability of strongly convex solutions are established.
