This paper deals with a free boundary problem modeling the growth of a spherically symmetric tumor. The model takes into account the influence of the inhibitory materials which the tumor receives from the host tissue. The unknowns are radius of the tumor, concentration of nutrient and concentration of inhibitor in the tumor. This model contains a nonlinear boundary condition which leads to additional difficulties in the study. Local existence of a classical solution is proved with the help of Banach fixed point theorem. The authors establish the global well-posedness of the problem and give the careful analysis for the large-time behaviour of the solution. Sufficient conditions are given for the case when the tumor is finally disappear and for the case when the tumor can not disappear in a finite time. Under the additional assumption that mutual action between nutrient and inhibitor is small, the existence of at least one stationary solution for the model is established. Sufficient condition for the asymptotic stability of the stationary solution is given.
