In the paper, a fourth order parabolic differential equation including a transport term (whose adjoint operator is diagonalizable) is studied in the case where the coefficients of the higher order terms vanish. First, the authors prove the well-posedness of the proposed system by establishing a transposition scheme. The main goal of the paper is to analyze the null controllability of the considered system with a single boundary control. The authors also show that the cost of the control decreases to zero under the hypothesis of the control time being sufficiently large.
