Following the results of \textit{A. K. Bousfield} and \textit{D. M. Kan} [Homotopy limits, completions and localizations. Springer, Cham (1972; Zbl 0259.55004)] on the concept of \(R\)-completion of a space (\(R\) a commutative ring), the authors first present some technical results on power series, completion of lamplighter groups and the completion of a free group. The main results of the paper are: Theorem 1: For \(F\) any finitely generated non cyclic free group, \(H_2(\widehat{F_\mathbb{Q}},\mathbb{Q})\) is uncountable. Theorem 2: For \(F\) any finitely generated non cyclic free group and \(p\) any prime, \(H_2(\widehat{F_\mathbb{Z}},\mathbb{Z}/p)\) is uncountable. In particular, \(H_2(\widehat{F_\mathbb{Z}},\mathbb{Z})\) is not divisible. Corollary: A wedge of \(\ge 2\) circles is \(\mathbb{Q}\)-bad.
