The authors apply their method used for their proof of Manin's conjecture for singular cubic hypersurfaces \(x^3 = (y_1^2 + \cdots + y_n^2)z\) where \(n\) is a positive multiple of \(4\) to establish an asymptotic formula for the number of rational points on the bounded height on the quadric hypersurface \(x^4 = (y_1^2 + y_2^2 + y_3^2 +y_4^2) z^2.\) Specifically, if \(N_U(B)\) is the number of rational points in \(U\) with height bounded by \(B\) then, as \(B\) approaches infinity, we have \[N_U(B) = {\frac{192 \mathcal{C}_4}{5\zeta(3)}}B^3 \log (B) \left \{ 1 + O \left( {\frac{1}{(\log(B)^{1/4})}} \right) \right \}.\]
