Let \(\Omega _{n}\), \(n\geq 1\), and \(\Omega \) be simply connected plane domains. The first part of this paper shows that Carathéodory convergence of \((\Omega _{n})_n\) to \(\Omega \) is equivalent to two other notions of convergence. One of these involves convergence of the corresponding sequence of harmonic measures. The other concerns \((\Omega_{n})_n\) and \(\Omega \) having arbitrarily good common interior approximations. In the second part, the authors explore what can be said for sequences of arbitrary plane domains, and for sequences of domains in higher-dimensional Euclidean space.
