Spectra of rational orthonormal systems (Q2010423)

This contribution is devoted to the study of spectral operators associated to Takenaka-Malmquist (TM) systems. In particular, the authors deal with general Sturm-Liouville operators under the framework of Heisenberg group and Weyl correspondence (cf. Section 2) to investigate the spectral operators of the Laguerre systems and the Kautz systems (see Theorem 3.1). Also, a generalization of Theorem 3.1 in the setting of boundary TM systems is provided (see Theorem 4.1). A complex variable treatment and the corresponding relation between a boundary TM system and a TM system are established in Theorems 4.3 and 4.4, respectively. Finally, Sections 5 and 6 consider the upper half-plane setting and the conversion of the results of the upper half-plane to the unit disc (and vice versa) by means of the Cayley transformation method, respectively.
