      A family of isolated complex hypersurface singularities with constant non-degenerate Newton boundary is Whitney equisingular, and hence topologically equisingular, as was observed by Briancon (unpublished). A generalisation to families with non-isolated singularities was obtained by the second under a rather technical condition. In the present paper the Authors impose a simpler condition. It involves the essential non-compact faces of the Newton boundary and it is an uniform version of the local tameness condition in [\textit{M. Oka}, Kodai Math. J. 38, No. 3, 581--603 (2015; Zbl 1444.32031)]. There are many examples throughout the text and the paper concludes with a section on examples of families with non-isolated singularities satisfying the condition.
