The paper under review is a continuation of the study started in [ibid. 27, No. 1, 192--211 (2016; Zbl 1337.46038)]. A Riesz space is a lattice-ordered vector space, a map between Riesz spaces \(X\) and \(Y\) is regular if it is a linear combination of maps taking the positive elements of \(X\) to positive elements of \(Y\). The main idea of the paper is to provide some sufficient conditions under which every continuous injective algebra homomorphism, from some Riesz operator subalgebra of an algebra \({\mathcal L}^r(X)\) of all regular maps on a Banach lattice \(X\) to some Levi Riesz algebra ideal of a Banach lattice algebra, is automatically regular. The sufficient conditions are too numerous and technical to be listed here (interested readers will find these conditions in Theorem 3.1, Corollary 3.2, Corollary 3.3 and Corollary 3.5). At the end of the paper, some necessary condition is described in order to have a non-regular bounded algebra homomorphism from one Banach lattice algebra into another. Presumably, one could get some more general results by considering just partially ordered algebras instead of lattice algebras and rewriting the proofs in terms of neighborhoods of zero instead of norms. This might result in a larger number of technical conditions and more technical proofs, but could be worth a try.
