Relative cohomology of algebraic theories (Q2014021)

The author studies the cohomology of multi-sorted algebraic systems using some relative homological tehniques. The category of models of an algebraic system is identified with the category of functors from an appropriate small category. Then a relative abelian category associated to a convenient functors can be constructed, and the cohomology theory associated to this category is interpreted as the cohomology theory of the initial algebraic system.
