The aim of this paper is to estimate the norm of weighted composition operators acting on spaces related to the classical Hardy and Bergman spaces of holomorphic functions on the unit disc or the right half-plane of the complex plane. In particular, the authors show that the boundedness of a weighted composition operator on the Hardy-Hilbert space \(H^2\) on the disc, or \(H^2(\mathbb{C}_{+})\) on the half-plane, automatically implies boundedness of the operator on a class of related spaces that contains the weighted Bergman spaces \(H^2(\beta)\). The methods of proof include certain results about lower triangular operators on a complex Banach space with \(1\)-unconditional basis for the case of functions defined on the disc, and the investigation of the boundedness of (strictly) casual operators on Zen spaces, in the case of functions defined on the half-plane.
