Following up their previous paper [J. Mod. Dyn. 12, 175--191 (2018; Zbl 1444.11154)] which deal with unit-interval two-branch piecewise-affine contractions, the authors consider here unit-interval two-branch piecewise-affine increasing maps which are injective but not surjective. Such maps can be defined using three parameters. The rotation number is proved to be rational if these parameters are all algebraic numbers. Using Hecke-Mahler series, the authors prove that, if the rotation number is rational, the map has at most one periodic orbit which, if it exists, is the limit set; otherwise, the map is conjugate to a rotation on its limit set, whose closure is a Cantor set.
