Let \(f\) be an infinitely differentiable non-negative function defined on \((0,\infty)\). Such a function \(f\) is called completely monotonic if for every positive \(x\) and every positive integer \(n\) the condition \((-1)^nf^{(n)}(x)\geq 0\) is satisfied. It is called logarithmically completely monotonic if \(f\) is positive and the function \(-(\log f)'\) is completely monotonic. The authors study the function \(W_q\), a ratio of products of \(q\)-gamma functions, that is, \[W_q(x)=\frac{\prod_{i=1}^{p} \Gamma_q^{\alpha_i}(A_ix+a_i)}{\prod_{j=1}^{s} \Gamma_q^{\beta_j}(B_jx+b_j)},\] where \(q\in(0,1)\), \(A_i, a_i, B_j, b_j\) are strictly positive, \(\alpha_i, \beta_j\) are non-negative (\(i=1,\ldots,p, j=1,\ldots,s\)) and the \(q\)-gamma function \(\Gamma_q\) is defined by \[\Gamma_q(x)=(1-q)^{1-x}\prod_{n=0}^{\infty}\frac{1-q^{n+1}}{1-q^{n+x}}.\] The authors give necessary and sufficient conditions for the function \(W_q\) to be logarithmically completely monotonic. They consider also the case \(q=1\), i.e., they study the logarithmically complete monotonicity of the function \[V(x)=\theta^{-x}\frac{\prod_{i=1}^{p} \Gamma^{\alpha_i}(A_ix+a_i)}{\prod_{j=1}^{s} \Gamma^{\beta_j}(B_jx+b_j)}, \quad x>0,\] where \(\theta, A_i, a_i, B_j, b_j\) are strictly positive, \(\alpha_i, \beta_j\) are non-negative (\(i=1,\ldots,p, j=1,\ldots,s\)) and \(\Gamma\) denotes the classical gamma function.
