In the reviewer's paper [\textit{J.-D. Hardtke}, Stud. Math. 231, No. 1, 29--44 (2015; Zbl 1350.46010)], a~geometrical property for Banach spaces, called property \((**)\), was introduced. It is closely related to the property of generalized lushness (GL) from [\textit{D.-N. Tan} et al., Stud. Math. 219, No. 2, 139--153 (2013; Zbl 1296.46009)]. In [\textit{J.-D. Hardtke}, J. Math. Phys. Anal. Geom. 16, No. 2, 119--137 (2020; Zbl 1466.46005)], it was proved that the Bochner spaces \(L^1(\mu,X)\) and \(L^{\infty}(\mu,X)\) have property \((**)\) whenever \(X\) has property \((**)\).\par In the present paper, the authors give alternative proofs for this fact and they show that the converse is also true: if \(L^1(\mu,X)\) or \(L^{\infty}(\mu,X)\) has property \((**)\), then so does \(X\).\par They also prove that the space of continuous vector-valued functions \(C(K,X)\) has property \((**)\) if and only if \(X\) has property \((**)\) (where \(K\) is a compact Hausdorff space).
