Characterizations are given for functions \(f\) to be in the Besov space \(\mathcal{B}^{p,q}_\nu\) depending only on \(|f|\), \(1\le p<\infty\), \(0<q<\infty\) and the two-sided doubling weight \(\nu\). After remembering some known results, necessary in the proofs, the main theorems are presented. Using the obtained main results, some nice consequences are proved. Such a way, using the inner-outer factorization, a modification of the classical Nevanlinna factorization is obtained, namely, for \(f\) in \(\mathcal{B}^{p,q}_\nu\) there exist \(f_1,f_2\in\mathcal{B}^{p,q}_\nu\cap H^\infty\) such that \(f=f_1/f_2\). Moreover in this way a necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for the fact that the product of a function from \(H^p\) and an inner function belongs to \(\mathcal{B}^{p,q}_\nu\). Also using the obtained results, some interesting observations are presented on the zero sets of \(\mathcal{B}^{p,q}_\nu\), where a zero set of \(\mathcal{B}^{p,q}_\nu\) is a sequence \(\{z_n\}\) from the open unit disc \(\mathbb D\) for which there exists \(f\in\mathcal{B}^{p,q}_\nu\) such that \(\{z\in\mathbb D: f(z)=0\}=\{z_n\}\).
