This paper studies the Dirichlet eigenvalue problem on the Möbius strip $M_a$ for $a = 1$. Denote by $\lambda_n$ the $n$-th Dirichlet eigenvalue. The eigenvalue $\lambda_n$ is called Courant-sharp if there exists an associated eigenfunction with exactly $n$ nodal domains. From the Courant's nodal domain Theorem [\textit{R. Courant} and \textit{D. Hilbert}, Methods of mathematical physics. Vol. I. New York: Interscience Publishers (1953; Zbl 0053.02805), Chap. VI.6], an eigenfunction associated with the $n$-th Dirichlet eigenvalue of $M_a$ has at most $n$ nodal domains. By extending Pleijel's theorem, and combining Weyl's law with a controlled remainder term, and an adapted Faber-Krahn inequality, the authors give an upper bound and a condition to be satisfied by Courant-sharp eigenvalues. They prove that when $a = 1$, the only Courant-sharp eigenvalues of the Dirichlet Laplacian on the Möbius strip $M_1$ are the first and second eigenvalues. The paper is well and clearly written, and stands very well compared with the literature on analogous topics. It gives a very interesting contribution to the eigenvalue problem research area.
